LAIKA Space Dog 1957 Hoodie. The story of Laika is sad but incredible. The first living creature to orbit the Earth in 1957 in a one-way mission was a historic milestone. This small Russian dog, a stray husky-spitz mix, was launched in a small metal unit within Sputnik 2.
Her real name was Kudryavka; she loved to bark and later became known as Laika, โbarkerโ in Russian. She circled the Earth at least a couple of times before it was suspected she died from the heat inside her module; after the unexpected loss of the heat shield.
A soft and comfy unisex hoodie that fits all your hoodie needs. The fleece fabric makes it comfortable while star gazing, at the launch pad, or for a picnic. The material is a thick blend of cotton and polyester. This makes for a plush, soft feel alongside warmth. It’s also a great surface for printing.
