LAIKA Space Dog Long Sleeve. The story of Laika is sad but incredible. The first living creature to orbit the Earth in 1957 in a one-way mission was a historic milestone. This small Russian dog, a stray husky-spitz mix, was launched in a small metal unit within Sputnik 2.

Her real name was Kudryavka; she loved to bark and later became known as Laika, โ€œbarkerโ€ in Russian. She circled the Earth at least a couple of times before it was suspected she died from the heat inside her module; after the unexpected loss of the heat shield.

A comfortable and versatile long-sleeve tee. Ideal for those cooler days or changing seasons. These are super soft and retain the print for many washes.
